First week (Service Support) complete......not as complex as I initially thought, as with only 1 day per process there is not the time to dig in too deeply, however, really enjoyable course.
Service Delivery next week.....with the exam early August. |

Second week complete.....& it's always a bad idea to be cocky. Have reached saturation point this week with Service Delivery, looking forward to a weekend without any ITIL terms.
Still been a great week, and I've learnt more than I imagined, with good practical ideas I'll be trying to implement when I return. Just got a sore head......several beers and 48 hour break will do the job. |

you will be living and breathing the stuff (ITIL that is, alcohol comes later) until the exam.
Good luck. I have not gone there, but I reckon everyone who takes it on and passes truly deserves it.
My Uni is maybe looking at running an IT Masters degree leading to ITIL expert. Now that would be good. If they could be organised enough. ITIL Expert plus a masters degree _________________ DYbeach

Living & breathing indeed....currently in Prague assisting with an ISO9k, ISO20k, & ISO27k implementation. Though the decent ales out here assist in winding out of it in the evening.
Looked into doing a MBA, then walked away when I saw the cost for the valued courses.
Sounds like you're Uni could be onto something there, depending on how they formatted the course. |

aucade - thanks for the info.
As a heads up no links are allowed on the forum, although you can still suggest a page with the use of 'dot' in the right place.

Sat here studying ahead of the exams on Monday & Tuesday.
Any last bits of advice / hints from those that have past.....
Goals - inputs - outputs, benefits - problems, CSFs - KPIs, process diagrams all pretty much ingrained now.
Gonna be doing a few more mock questions over the weekend, reading again through the case study. |

Cheers UKV....
First one down.....was happy with my knowledge for the questions, however, the time constraint was a killer.......obviously so was the writing. I took the methodology of where a certain number of ideas were required giving 70% of the required number so that I could answer all questions and go back, but in the end didn't have the time to go back to answer them. Gutted about that.
What is the reason for it being written? Surely everyone taking the exam, being IT bods, would prefer to answer on a PC?
Moan, moan, grumble, grumble........quick break then study up for tomorrow.
Mmmmmm Cost models & Finance. |

All done, found Service Delivery slightly trickier as this was my first introduction to the Financial Mgmt for IT process & ended up spending too much time there.
But all done, the course was worth every penny.....including the physiotherapy I'm gonna need from writing for 2x 3hours
Apologies to any examiners there are on here as my writing after 2 hours was not the best.
2 months to go for results.
