I got one of the major activities under Capacity Management is "Contol Storage of capcaity for capacity activities".
What is that? Please help to elaborate it more. |

The phrase is meaningless. Perhaps it could mean something in a context. What other major activities appear in the same list? _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

The others activities are as below:
•Perform demand management for business, service and resource capacity activities
•Perform modeling for business, service and resource capacity activities
•Provide application sizing for business, service and resource capacity activities
•Provide capacity plans for business, service and resource capacity activities
•Perform capacity monitoring, analysis and tuning activities
•Implement capacity-related changes
•Provide management information about Capacity Management quality and operations.
In some sites, I found some wordings as "Storing Capacity Management Data".
Please advice. |

It sounds like the feed of information into your CDB - this can be automated monitoring as well as manual gathering of data (e.g. changing business requirements).

While you might have found all sorts of stuff at various web sites..
What did you find in the v2 or the v3 ITIL Capacity Management process ?
That is what we can discuss and that is the source to be trusted / used _________________ John Hardesty

Sounds like something you'd find in Wiki.
Also, might be something related to activities fro key process areas for some sort of maturity model, like IT Service CMM (yes, there is such thing), although Capacity Management is not a key process area. |
