Thing is Rupak, if people treat the ITIL certification as a brain dump and pass the exams by cramming in information and memorising multiple choice questions and answers, what they get is a piece of paper that says, that they have a certain amount of knowledge and experience. But they will not be up to the job.
This devalues the certification for those of us working in Service Management Roles, and that is why people get shirty about requests for free information with the aim of avoiding work and/or cost.
What will eventaully happen, Rupak, is if more and more people use unauthorised short cuts to get these certifications, having them on your CV will mean nothing at all, and prospective employers will look for experience instead.
So go ahead if you feel this is what you need to get by, but in the long run it won't help you _________________ DYbeach
