Salary comparison - Change Specialist

I've been working for my existing company for 4 years, as a participant in the change process for 4 and as the Sr Change coordinator globally for 2+. I've been semi-satisfied with my salary up until recently when we underwent a major reorg and I was forced to take on more duties and accountabilities. I'm happy to do the work but want to ask for more cash due to the elevated load. I recently found out via an ex-manager that my role was scoped for about 25-30% higher than I agreed to however our HR lowered it (typical HR!).

What I'm looking for is for an average salary comparison for the USA (Western US specifically) for the role of a change management specialist. In ITIL terms I'm a coordinator but my role has me doing partial operational duties and partial everything else.

The only role I could compare against on several sites was for a 'Manager, Change Management' which is about half to 3/4 levels above where I currently work. I need to provide hard data to management to request this so any suggestions on salary ranges or sites I can use to gather valid data would be appreicated.

Well, I'd say that if your management has a "be glad you even have a job" attitude it's better to simply stay put and not to mention salary at all.

I know HDI had some report published on salaries last year so you want to check with your closest chapter.

go for the change mgr role
