Is anyone using the SLA feature in TSRM (aka Maximo). We're currently analyzing this for use, but IBM can't seem to supply us with any corps using the feature.
Specifically, we're looking at tying the SLA to asset records (asset records defining the system, application or service), so we can get the availability reports.
TSRM has many ITIL ties with Service Desk, Asset Mgt, Work Flows, communication, etc. It is a very robust toolset with tons of applicability to corps aligning with ITIL. Oh, and it also has ties to SLM, especially in the arena of SLA's, as well as reporting.
If you have experience in the product, please share. Otherwise, I would appreciate hearing from anyone else who might have some experience.

Any insights are appreciated.
I don't see how you could get useful and reliable help from the forum because the answer would have to relate specifically to your requirements in your circumstances.
This sounds more like the kind of question to raise with your software supplier or to learn through the training courses they may provide. That might be a better route than waiting on the off-chance that someone here not only happens to use the same software in much the same way but is also in a position to share this in some detail with you.

Understood, but they (IBM) can't give me anyone who actually uses the SLA/asset feature. They keep selling the stock SLA features tied to service desk requests.
At this point, I'm not concerned about "how" as much as wondering if ANYONE is using the feature. Thinking out loud, maybe I'll try a Tivoli forum, but thanks to everyone for looking and replying.

The one thing I like about IBM products is that they always have a very active user community who (similar to this community) are always eager to help you out. Therefore, as you have suggested yourself, I would pay a visit to the Maximo forum on developerWorks (google for maximo developerworks forum) and you are much more likely to get a resonse to your question.
Hope that helps

We use Maximo - but not the SLA feature - however IBM are strongly pushing us towards Tivoli - even though we do have a enterprise monitoring solution in place.
