Hi All,
We sucessfully implement the Incident Mgmt. We always discuss the All incident in Problem mgmt for permant solution for long pending Incident.
Please any body have tool to implement CMDB. So we can search the Known error and get permant solution.
There is no 'one tool' for a CMBD as it depends on how you log your calls.
We use a product called Supportworks which includes a CMDB
The CMDB is simply a database so you could even create one in Microsoft Access, although this probably wouldnt be the best option for searching.
The CMDB is usually handled by the Change Management process, I think you may be referring to the KEDB which is the Known Error database, which is managed by the Problem Management process.

hi Imu
The CMDB is a part of the configuration management system. Generally speaking, you use this to map your IT assets (services, infrastructure, etc) and the relationships between them.
It's all about the relationships.
You control what's in the CMDB by applying change management practices.
You are asking about problem management. As well as activities required for diagnosing the root cause of incidents and determining resolutions to these problems (I am paraphrasing the ITIL book here), it is also responsible for ensuring that resolutions are implemented through the right control procedures, for example change and release management.
If you are planning for the full suite of ITIL offerings, then you should understand that problem management can use the CMS to identify faulty CIs, and also to determine the direct and indirect impact of problems
What I suggest you do is some research. Start with google or another search engine of your choice, but be discerning about what you read. Take your time to absorb what you read, and think about how it applies to your workplace.
Good luck. Have fun. There are worse ways than this to earn a living _________________ DYbeach
