Back out plan and RFC

Hi,

I am working right know with Change Management, with RFC, all RFC should include a back out plan. As we can see in chapter 8.3.1

I cannot found in ITIL documentation what are the minimum content that should have a back out plan

I have some ideias of the minimum contents a back out plan should have like:

Who has done this Back out plan?
Who has authorised this Back out plan?
Date
Technical task detailed
Technical documentation referred
Time required to perform the whole back out plan.
Test cases to check back out plan


Please do you have any ideias?

I think what you mentioned is a good start. a Critical part in creating a new process, is documenting what you already have, then follow the "Plan -> Do -> Check -> Act" to make improvements on this.


Another item worth mentioning that the backout plan should work in conjuction with Change Planning activities. I.e. there should probably also be an Implementation plan which details the times and roles/responsibilities for a particular implementation, how communication will be handled. The backout plan is a part of that script including the details you mention below.
