Recently I took over Problem Management in our company, where the focus for Problem Management is on providing solutions. No KEDB is in place.
I start realising that managing information on Known Errors (i.e. the content of the KEDB) would be an important part of Problem Management as well.
I even wonder if the primary focus for the Problem Manager shouldn't be on Known Errors, rather then on providing solutions (which would be the main focus for the Service Manager).

There is a difference between the role of Problem Management and the role of the Problem Manager. which do you want to talk about? _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."
