thanks UKV; yes Google did help me

in addition, I should have been more clear in my question, I am also seeking recommendations from people here who would have used services of education providers to clear their exams

which would be a better route,
- to go to prometric directly
or
- to use the services of a education provider and exam facilitator

pros and cons

hope someone has answer to this one.

You have a number of choices -
1. Self study - the cheapest, but you have no-one to ask if you do not understand a topic, and no exam guidance. This can be helped a little by using a book written especially for people in they position. Google Van haren Itil to find possible books. Sit the exam through ProMetric.
2. Distance Learning with tutor support - a biy more expensive, but you have proper guidance and support. Sit the exam through ProMetric
3. Classroom course - more expensive. Interaction with classmates and tutor, exam practice, exam included at the end.

The more you pay, the better the option, but only you know how much you can afford. I deliver training in India, and provide distance learning options, because people have different budgets.

All distance and classroom courses should be accredited - check that they are!
