Hi, I have been set the challenge of designing a Release Management process to be used within the PSN environment. Does anybody have documentation or tips to assist with this? Any help would be appreciated.

Is this to be used within a generic PSN environment or a specific PSN environment?
It would also be helpful not to have to guess/assume what you mean by "PSN environment". Just for starters does the P stand for Public, Packet, Provider, Playstation or what? And is the environment one in which you make these things, use these things or are suffused by this thing?
Once you have answered these questions I would probably advise you to understand the generic requirements of an adequate Release Management process by reading both the ITIL texts and the ISO20000 standard, and to understand the specific requirements of your organization and the nature of your organization's management system. From these it is normally possible to do a first cut of process design (or modification, since you already do release management of some sort unless you are a new organization).
My approach would be to define your requirements and then audit your current system against them in order to identify what needs adding or changing.
To return to my first question, I have never heard of an organization that did generic anything, and so a generic process is not terribly useful. _________________ "Method goes far to prevent trouble in business: for it makes the task easy, hinders confusion, saves abundance of time, and instructs those that have business depending, both what to do and what to hope."

Hi,
Sorry for any confusion, I am talking about Public Sector Networks (PSN) infrastructure with a large number of end users including anything from local libraries, police and health trusts. I work for an established organisation that is looking how to handle this type of opportunity and to meet the governance requirements and best practice procedure for release management.
Thanks in advance.
