while dealing with Service Catalogue, Busniess catalogue specification is clear, that it reflaects the Services offered by Business.
My question is about the technical/IT Catalouge, the services which our IT is providing to our busniess.
My organization is providing n numbers of services to its customer, which are specified in Service catalogue. x number of applications and proceeses are contributing to provide each of services.
So in IT catalogue ,
1) should I need to include the details of each application and process individually i.e for contributing each business service what applications are performing and their details , Functinality of each application
OR
2) should I include the only the generic IT service describing the IT framewrok for all these applications as a whole i.e services related to application Maintance, Back Up, Restoration, OS Related, DB related etc.
My question may seem to be confusing, but what I want to ask is all about the contents of catalogue between IT and Business....

I believe you are closer to the true answer with scenario #2. I would include specifics but not the dirty details, and be consistent across all IT Services.
