Sorry, I have not been on the forum for a while. Yes, you should be an ITIL Expert, and have training experience. Then you need to find an accredited training organisation(ATO) to sponsor you, and put you on their books. If you are employed by them, that is easy, if not, and you want to be a freelance, find an ATO who is happy to register you. They will need your CV and certificates to submit to the examination institute (ISEB, EXIN etc). If their EI is APMG you will also undergo a telephone interview.
Once accepted, you have to find the work - other ATOs may employ you too, and you cannot expect the sponsoring ATO to necessarily have any work for you. If you find your own clients, then you need to arrange the course through the ATO, and use their materials (for which they will charge). They arrange the exam.
It is very important that any course is in the name of an ATO, uses an accredited instructor, and accredited materials. Otherwise it is a "grey" course, and is an infringement f copyright.
If you want to message me directly, I am a director of an ATO, and night be able to help. _________________ Liz Gallacher,
