Hi there. Short story. Some one adviced me to get an ITIL career.
I never heard of it, but looking for a new career path in project management and similar.
I just need to get my head around it all.

I have international business management degree. Not IT. Is it true that ITIL will work together with my business degree and i do not need to be IT specialist?
- Will ITIL enable for me career in project management and open a door for further development by taking on board PRINCE 2?
- If ll looks good and i can do ITIL courses - how much would i need to spend and would it be easy to find a job with them?
- How long would it take for the training in order to get my foot into to the company?

Its all so far. Really thanks for advices.

This is NOT a career advice site.

ITIL is a set of better practice (Advice) on how to IT Service Management well. That is all.

There are training courses to learn what is in ITIL from foundation and beyond. The foundation exam is the only one that does not require course work - which are comparable to microsoft 4-5 days courses in cost.

If you have an Int Mgmt degree, you should shooting for roles in the field you studied .. other wise you pissed your time away with the degree

PRINCE2 is a methodology for doing Project mgmt - whether IT or not - is immaterial. There are courses and certifications for that as well

The initial certification in ITIL - FOundation - is held by 10s of thousands of people - who are in IT doing entry level work to higher and those who are not.

It does not mean much by itslef when a role requiring ITIL FOundation knowledge or certification is floded with 200+ people with foundmation and no experience

If you are Int Bus Mgmt... stay there.

If you want to manage IT people, get experience in mgmt first

Honestly, why are leaving. Int Buss mgmt
