Hi,
is there any difference between Postponed and Cancelled CR?
Do we really need to differentiate among those?
Canceled Changes
A change that was scheduled and later canceled will be closed as Change Canceled.
Postponed Changes
A change that was scheduled but during the installation process could not be safely promoted (ran out of time, potential scheduling impact found, etc.) will be coded as a Postponed Change.

Cancelled means the change will not be promoted, e.g. you have a release, and just one day before the change, you find there's a bug in this release, so you cancel the change and this release won't be promoted even in the future.
Postponed means the change cannot be done on schedule due to some known issues, so you have to postpone to a later time. e.g. you have a release, and just 10 minutes before the change, there's a downtime to your application. So you cannot make the change while at the same time to address the downtime issue. But anyway, this change would be in place later. _________________ Luo, Tian-Hong (Ken)

So, you mean if the above changes we resechudule (after fix the bug) for next time it will be turned as Postponed changes?
