Genentech, located in South San Francisco California, is the founder of the biotechnology industry and among the world’s leading biotech companies. We are instrumental in all areas of drug development from research and development to manufacturing and commercialization. We are currently seeking a Sr. IT Process Design Analyst for our South San Francisco corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities:
This senior-level position will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing and continuously improving core IT processes in a rapidly growing IT organization. They will lead the design and implementation of 7 core IT processes, including Customer Request Management, Problem Management, Project Management, SDLC, Change Management, Systems Operations, and Learning & Knowledge Management. He/she will also leverage the best practices of ITIL, CobIT, Six Sigma and Michael Hammer as appropriate. This is a key leadership position within the Corporate Information Technology department which will help to lead and facilitate weekly Process Council meetings, and will serve as a liaison to the CIT Leadership Council provide regular progress updates and key recommendations.
This position will create and maintain an integrated roadmap for the rollout of all 7 processes, identify and continuously improve key integration points between core processes, and perform process documentation and training. The Analyst will facilitate process design workshops, set process documentation and communication standards, consult with seven process design teams working in parallel, and help to identify and oversee process design consultants as necessary. He/she will also prepare regular presentations and recommendations for the CIT Leadership Council, and perform additional organizational communications as required to ensure successful process adoption. The IT Process Design Analyst is one of many analysts on the IT Planning team, and may perform additional strategic planning, resource management and/or performance management responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT process design with significant implementation expertise is required.
Significant experience with Visio, MS Project and MS PowerPoint is required, in addition to excellent communication and facilitation skills. Advanced degree and consulting experience preferred. ITIL, CobIT, Hammer and/or Six Sigma certification a plus.
