Look. You can NOT make a wrong service catalogue. EVER.
The process Continued Service Improvement is your escape clause.
Here is a simple SC for a bunch of non technical users
Email - You use the application - <insert> - on your PC to compose and send electronic messages - Email - to other individuals who have an email account. Your email account is your first name, the period (full stop), last name all without any spaces, following by the @ symbol (called AT) and the company's email domain name. For example. FirstName.LastName@companydomain.com
Internet Browser - an application on your desktop to connect to the interest and examine and view internet web sites and their content
You can have multiple variations of the same service catalogue - depending on the audience.
If you are the service consumer, draft the SC as you would describe what you are getting and the reverse if you are the provider.
