How far can you get with online training with ITIL?
I have 18 years in Satellite Command and Control and Information Technology and I have a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science.
Anyone have an idea of the level of effort each of the certs requires?
A standardized methodology for running IT organizations interests me a lot.
some online classes for the Foundation level course exist.
Not sure about the Practitioner level but it is a bit longer and more intense than the Foundation. However, both are multiple choice exams.
Masters level course is an essay format based on a case study. This is not offered online as part of the requirement is to attend the multi week classes (at least it weas multi week for me) where you will not only be evaluated on your "book" knowldege but they will also evaluate you in leadership and colloboration skills.
