Hi Pals,

I am planning to take ITIL foundation training but have couple of doubts which you may find easy to answer.

1) How many days time will be given to a candidate to clear certification exam after attending training (for EXIN)
2) How many attempts are permitted for clearning the exam?
3) Is it enough to study the books/guides shared by EXIN?

Appreciate your help

Thanks,
Srini

1 in a course, the exam is on the last day
2 as many times for which you wish to pay for the course / exam (for all but foundation) or exam (Foundation)
3 Courses are 3 - 5 days (all but foundation) and for self study (as long as you decide)

1 If you take a course, talk to the course provider
2 - It depends on the course provider

Hi friends, I can provide my views to answer the following questions:-
1) How many days time will be given to a candidate to clear certification exam after attending training (for EXIN)
Ans) Generally if anyone attending ITIL foundation course from any training institute they will conduct exam on the same day or the next day.(some institutes will teach foundation level for one day and conduct the exam on the same day.
Few will follow two days course schedule and the exam will be conducted on second day.
If it is self study, any day is fine and course and exam are not at all related.(exin or any provider)

2.Regarding the other question(How many attempts will be there to clear the exam)?
Ans) As far as I know it is 2 attempts when you attend course from any traning center.

Actually Prashant

You are rather incorrect

If the course is being taught via an Official Axelos course, there is a minimum number of hours for the training - which is usually 2 - 2 1/2 days with the course exam at the end of the training

If you self study, you can schedule the exam when ever you feel like it

As for re-takes, the exam is NOT free so if a Training company offers the student to re-take the exam for free; that is a business decision.

The exam cost is a fixed cost
