Hello ITIL Community
This is my first post. I do not consider myself has a newbie neither an expert in ITIL.
In the last days I have been studying the TIPA (http://www.tipaonline.org/en/tipa/tipa-for-itil) Process Assessment Model. However, I feel that it is a little be confusing so I have several questions for you.
Where are defined the Base Practices for each ITIL process?. It seems that different authors use different Base Practices for the same process. Is this possible? Are there any guidelines regarding the Base Practices?. The same seems to be true for the Process Expressed Results of each process.

The ITIL Books themselves define the best practice as advised in thebooks
When a company implements IT SM and applies the concepts from ITIL and the adapts to fit the company's particulars, then that becomes best practice for that organisation _________________ John Hardesty
