I was wondering the other day why the ITIL/ITSM practitioners around the world do not have a specific magazine/trade publication dedicated to the discussion of ITIL topics.
I mean, there are publications related to databases, programming, sysadmins, etc. Why is it very hard, almost impossible, to find a consitent publication on ITIL subjects, tool evaluation and comparisons, white papers, etc?
I am aware that the web as a information repository offers disparate sources of information from around the world. But often the information is very decentralized. Also, you can't take your computer with you to bed to read!
Also, a 'main' ITIL publication will serve as the hub, the meeting point if you will, for practitioners world wide.
The closest thing I know to that is the ITIL and ISO 20000 Newsletter (//itsm.the-hamster.com), although it's an eZine, rather than a paper publication.

Service Talk is the Bi-Monthly magazine distributed FREE in printed and electronic (Adobe PDF) formats, to all registered employees of organisations who have subscribed to the itSMF.
