Hi Leif,

"ITIL Compliant" term is not recognized by UK OGC anf this "ITIL compliant" is given by some organizations, I only know comercial tools like Peregrin Service Center or Unicenter Service Desk of CA that are called "ITIL Compliant".

I know some GNU tools for incident and problem tracking this tools can be used to follow ITIL best practices but are not "official" ITIL Compliant

Hope it helps

Hi,

I found Mantis Bug Tracker, used by for example Typo3. It is a PHP, MySQL, free, open source web application.

Could this be used to do Problem Management?

What do you think?

Hi Wolfhard/Leif,

For WEB Incident and Problem Management I know Double Choco Latte it is an open source and ITIL best actices can be followed customizing this tool, I think It is not allowd to published URL in this Forum , but this is a not commercial tool so I suppose there is no problem in posting it.

You can download from dcl.sourceforge.net/

Please Wolhard could you post or email to me (javier.arcal@gmail.com) the URL from where can be downloaded the tool suggested (Mantis Bug Tracker).

Do you know any GNU tool for Configuration Management? I know AIDA32 for inventory management.

I think is a really good idea to exchange information about GNU tools to follow best practices.

Best Regards

A question in a similar vein. Does anyone know of any open source CMDB tools, or schemae or data models that might be used in MySQL (or Access for that matter)?

I do not - by experience - consider BugTracker or Mantis as ITIL compliant regarding CMDB (Configuration Management Database), though they are very usefull within Problem Management, Incident Management, Project Management etc.
