Masters Certification - Initials

Will getting my masters certification allow me to tack on initials to my name, such as:

john Doe, MCSE

Masters certification? Do you mean MANAGERS certification (as in Foundation, Manager, Practitioner)?

Then the answer, as far as I am aware, is no.

What you can do is join the Institute of Service Management at the appropriate level. You can then say "member/Associate/fellow etc of the IOSM" after your name.

The official name for "letters after your name" are 'post nominals'.

The OGC has no designated post nominal system for any level of official ITIL accreditation.

So - you can essentially create your own!!

Over two years ago I made the following suggestion for post nominals to OGC.

ITIL (Found.)
ITIL (Pract.)
ITSM (Qual.)

(note ITSM - as the Managers program is more Service Management focussed, rather than ITIL focussed).

Thanks for this info - saved me from having to put a fresh posting up. Just compelted the ITIL Foundation (Instructor lead) and now heading for the Practitioners in Service Desk and Incident Management. It would be good if you could have some letters after your name, as it is a professional certification.
