Probably more a case of:

"a Service Management person, doing a presentation on culture - that has to be a first"

I'll be the first to acknowledge that many aussies wouldn't know how to recognise "culture" if it walked up and hit them on the head with a cricket bat.

You can buy ITIL out of the box.

Can't fail.

I think you guys are a bit harsh. If you park the job interview element for a moment, it is a really good question to ask. You can replace "sales people" with "business engagement" or "relationship management". It is a good thing to contribute to the value proposition of your IT organisation whether...

There is a knack for passing multichoice exams. Read the question very carefully. Get your boolean logic sorted out (double negatives etc). Discard the obviously ridiculous answers. Answer according to the books, not real life. For the ITIL V3 Mgrs Bridge, you will do well to be familiar with the pi...

Also, I mean doing the training beyond a bog-standard ISO20000 3-day foundation course, which I will certainly do. But should I go further? Liz?

ISO20000 Certification experience

OK. I have got the education & certification path info from exin. Background. I work for a shared services provider, 500 staff, 38000 user installed base, growing to 800 staff and 60000 users (then hopefully back down to 600-700 staff as we mature/automate. ITIL CMM level 3 is our general direction....

I'd assume that a good way to become an ITIL Trainer is to join a company who does both consulting & certified training. You might start as a junior consultant (auditor & process writer) but will be conducting Foundation courses in no time. That way the company pays for your certification and you ha...

I actually think that the principles can apply to any technology-based services. Do the ITIL v3 Foundation certificate and form your own judgement. In fact, I'd suggest that the medical industry would probably already utilise some of the practices (strategy, design, transition, operations, improveme...
