Hello,

What is the first and last thing a Incident Manager has to do? Do Incident Manager has a standard roles and responsibility or is it company specific?

Rajesh,

You asked what a Incident Manager has to do first

he or she has to wake up

and last

he or she has to go to sleep

A stupid question - hence a stupid answer

The final Yes is to answer the second stupid question

As this is an ITIL community site, it would presume that you are aware of IT is, what IT Service Management is and in this case what Incident Management is.

Do you know what the above are ? Based on your first post, I seriously doubt this.

What you are doing is NOT asking the right question or in enough detail to which some one can answer

So, what exactly do you want to know about the role in IT Service Management that a Incident Manager does ?

There is a lot an IM can do, could do as well as should do.

1 - It depends on the defined roles and responsibilities that ITIL has provided as a definition for the default role - Search for the ITIL Glossary for the answer

2 - It also depends on how each (every) company structures their Service Desk and the Incident Management team
