AXELOS released the Foundation course, but has not made any announcements regarding the release of the Managing Professional, Managing Professional Bridge or Strategic Leader courses.

You can take ITIL 4 Foundation to get an overall view of where ITIL 4 is going. Once the advanced courses are released you will have 2 options based on how many ITIL V3 credits you have.

If you have 17 or more, then you get to go straight to the Managing Professional Transition course and bi-pass the 4 Managing Professional Courses. This also allows you to take only 1 of the Strategic Leader courses to achieve that designation.

If you are interested in bi-passing 4 courses and exams in ITIL 4, then the best bet is to work on your ITIL V3 17 credits now. Let me know if you have any questions.

Been getting a lot of questions on when the rest of the ITIL 4 courses will be released. Checked with AXELOS just now and most likely AXELOS will release more information sometime summer 2019. As soon as we hear anything we will let you know.

ITIL 4 Managing Professional Transition (MPT) exam is being released on October 3, 2019. Courses will be released in October and November 2019. The reason for the timing of the courses is that AXELOS is updating the content as I type. If you are taking the course in October, make sure the content provider has updated their materials to the most recent updates.

I have seen live classroom courses for $2,000 to $3,400. The live courses give the exam on the afternoon of the last day of the class. Online self-paced courses, with exam vouchers, are running from $795 t0 $1,200. All courses are accredited. Please note you have to have these credentials to take the MPT course:

1. Be an ITIL Expert
2. Have 17 ITIL V3 credits
3. Have 15 ITIL V3 Intermediate credits and hold the ITIL 4 Foundation Certification

ITIL V3 courses are valid and exams are being offered through June 2020.
